Our Projects

Women Empowerment

These are the core projects of Anugrah Jansewa Mandali Trust. These centres were established to provide underprivileged women from deprived areas of Delhi an opportunity to have a good basic education and vocational skill training in sewing and embroidery. Delhi is a patriarchal society with women and girls treated as second class citizens, often deemed not worthy of an education due to poverty, family and cultural reasons. Teenage girls who may not have been to school or needed to drop out because of their family circumstances and responsibilities, find that they can meet with other girls in the same situation and freely discuss their feelings (which they may be not allowed to do at home) and provide support for each other as a group.
